FAQ

1. Do these pancakes taste like lentils?

No. The red lentil flavour is mild and neutral. When blended with dates and milk, the pancakes taste lightly sweet and wholesome — not savoury.

2. Can I skip the dates?

Yes. The dates provide natural sweetness.
If skipping, you may add:

  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup

  • Honey

  • Or your preferred sweetener

3. Can I use plant-based milk?

Yes. Almond, oat, soy, or coconut milk all work well. Adjust slightly for consistency if needed.

4. Why are my pancakes too thick or too thin?

  • Too thick → add 1–2 tbsp milk

  • Too thin → add 1 tbsp Red Lentil Mix

The batter should be pourable but not watery.

5. Do I need to let the batter rest?

Not required, but resting for 3–5 minutes improves texture and fluffiness.

6. Are these pancakes gluten-free?

They are made using gluten-free ingredients and are mixed and packed in a strict gluten-free environment.

7. Can I make waffles with this batter?

Yes. Lightly grease the waffle iron and cook until crisp. You may reduce milk slightly for thicker waffle batter.

8. Can I meal-prep these pancakes?

Yes. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on a pan or toaster.
